Quick and Easy Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean Recipe
You need a chocolate covered espresso bean recipe! Why pay a hefty price for these little gems when you can make them yourself? And the taste is so much better when you use fresh roasted beans.
Here is a basic recipe. Use your imagination and vary the ingredients. Just be sure to share them!
Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean Recipe
- Roasted beans, preferably dark-roasted
- Semi-sweet, milk, white, etc. chocolate chips or pieces
Melt chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. Use enough chocolate to make about 1/2 cup.
Remove chocolate from heat source and add about 1/3 cup beans. Stir to coat. Using a spoon, remove beans from chocolate. Place and seperate beans on wax paper. Let sit until chocolate is hardened. Place in freezer if you are in a hurry.
If you would like, before the chocolate on the beans is totally dry, roll in powdered sugar or cocoa powder.
Store in an airtight container.
